Drawing

Drawing is one of the first things you will learn. It's also the easiest! (even if your not a great artist)

All of the drawing tools are on the left of the screen.

1) The arrow tool. This tool selects things when you click them.

2) The lasso tool. When you draw around an object with this, it will select it.

3) The line tool. This draws straight lines. Simply click and hold it on the stage and drag. Then let go and you will have a straight line.

4) The text tool. Select it, click on the stage and start typing your text.

5) The circle tool. Select it, click on the stage and drag it. You will then have a perfect circle or oval.

6) The square tool. Do exactly what it says above. You will then have a perfect square or rectangle.

7) The pencil tool. Select it and start drawing freehand on the stage.

8) The paint brush. Select it and paint! (a bit like the pencil tool)

9) The ink bottle. If you have drawn something and you want to change the thickness of the line or the line colour, select it and then click the area you want to chane.

10) The fill tool. This changes the colour of the area you select.

11) The dropper tool. Use this to pick up line, fill and text styles from your drawing.

12) The rubber tool. Use this to rub out mistakes in your drawing.

13) The hand tool. Use this to move the view of your drawing.

14) The magnifying glass tool. Use this to zoom in and out of your drawing.

These are just the basic options of the tools, but when you select a drawing tool other options become available to use which appear just below the drawing menu. some of the extra options include: line thickness, line colour, size of text and so on.

To get used to them al,l just mess around with them a bit until you are comfortable.
